چکیده

Background: Exocytosis of the endothelial storage granules, Weibel-Palade bodies, upon severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) invasion with consequent release P-selectin and Von Willebrand factor, as well several chemokines, results in hypercoagulability. Angiopoietin-2 is a chemokine stored bodies; it context-dependent competitive antagonist angiopoietin-1. Disruption angiopoietin/Tie2 pathway contributes to vascular dyshomeostasis sepsis. This study aimed investigate serum levels angiopoietin-1 patients disease 2019 (COVID-19). Methods: A total 85 participants were enrolled divided into two groups: first group included 45 COVID-19, second 40 healthy individuals comparable age sex serve control group. ELISA was used measure levels. Results: Serum significantly lower COVID-19 than subjects (14.52 (5.56) ng/ml 30.56 (17.56) ng/ml, respectively; p < 0.001). Moreover, at cut-off value ≤21.05 level had 97.8% sensitivity 100% specificity differentiating between non-infected (p-value <0.001). Conclusions: Serum subjects, has potential be diagnostic marker for COVID-19.
